Core Operations & Logistics (Transitions, etc.)

Core transitions are a normal part of the Core experience and can occur for a number of reasons, including changes in a member’s schedule, conflicts of interest, and member renewals. Transitions occur at the group level (e.g., a Guide change or group disband) or at the individual member level (e.g., a member moves from one group to  another). The goal is for transitions to be a positive experience, with members benefiting from fresh perspectives that inject new energy into their Core experience.

Individual Transitions:

  • Requested by the member due to satisfaction, availability, change in career goals, etc.

  • Due to repeated absences or disengagement

  • Conflict of interest with another member of the group

Group Transitions:

  • Adding new members

  • Group retire (disband)

  • Guide change

  • Multiple (smaller) groups merge to form one group

Options to grow your Core group

2025 Core Model: Groups who have opted to stay in the 2025 Core Model will not receive additional members through individual transitions or Coremation. There may be rare opportunities for a member to be added to these groups.

Additionally, Guides can opt to merge two+ groups if you think there is alignment and fit. Please email guides@chief.com for info on how to proceed.

Core Journeys (2026+): The best way to indicate that your Core Group is open to adding new members is by selecting “Open to New Members” in your meeting recap in the Guide Portal. We review member fit, availability, and openness to joining an existing Core Group.

Please note: There is no specific length of time we can commit to completing this request. It can take an extended amount of time to find additional members.

Additionally, you can also merge two+of your Core groups if they are in the same journey. If you lead two or more groups that you think could benefit from merging to become one group, please reach out to guides@chief.com for confirmation and next steps.
