PART 1 OVERVIEW

On this page, you’ll find the information presented during the “Inclusive Digital Facilitation” workshop on April 4, 2023. Please use this as a resource when planning your Core Groups as it is intended to provide guidance and resources for using digital tools to support inclusive facilitation best practices during Core meetings.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

One of the most important factors in fostering a safe space where Members can be vulnerable and get to a place where they can make deep connections with each other is inclusivity and for you as the Guide to practice inclusive facilitation. 

At Chief, we do not expect our Guides to be DEIB experts. We do, however, expect our Guides to make room for inclusion to be built into every aspect of every Core meeting. 

Both Guides and members represent the full spectrum of humanity and we are firm in our belief that intersectional and inclusive practices set the foundation to achieve Chief’s vision: Drive more women into positions of power - and keep them there.

A NOTE ON USING DIGITAL FACILITATION TOOLS:

Many members report that a Guide’s ability to technically facilitate a seamless meeting experience has a huge impact on their Core experience. Because of that, it's paramount that Guides practice before using new tools in their Core meetings. We encourage you to explore these tools on your own or reach out to your fellow Guides to practice together.

Summary: In this workshop, we:

• Reviewed themes from the “Inclusive Digital Facilitation Part 1” Workshop

• Worked in small group breakout rooms to plan how to integrate 2-3 instances of using digital facilitation tools within a selected piece of Chief meeting content. Each group worked together to complete the Planning Activity Worksheet (linked below).
