Core Expectations and The 5 Cs

Core members are asked to show up on time to each meeting, be present for the entire session, and actively participate. The Core experience is meant to build a group of trusted confidantes, so members should be prepared to listen, share, and connect on a deeper level. When members agree to the Core Expectations, they’re committing to show up and participate not only for themselves but also for the other members of their group.

Below are additional resources for your review to get a better understanding of the expectations communicated to members about Core:

The 5 Cs of Core

The 5 Cs are the grounding principles used to set norms and expectations during Core meetings. You’ll spend some time in your first meeting reviewing the 5 Cs in detail. Additionally, you may find yourself coming back to the 5 Cs often with your Core groups as a reminder of the commitments and expectations each member has within Core. In addition to the 5 Cs, you are encouraged to identify any additional group norms that your Core groups would like to adhere to.
